April 18, 2019 -- Wichita State University has partnered with the Kansas National Guard and Cadet Command Army ROTC to begin offering a Senior Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program.

April 16, 2019 -- Ryan Kendall, a senior from Pelham, Alabama, is a computer science major who took the long route to Wichita State’s Selected Team. He didn’t make the team as a freshman and spent the past two seasons on the Developmental Team. Wichita State coach Gordon Vadakin estimates around 10 percent of the bowlers who don’t make the team in their early years continue to try out for a spot on the Selected Team.

April 2, 2019 -- A plan to build a new Student-Athlete Success Center and renovate parts of Charles Koch Arena is moving forward.

March 29, 2019 -- Christian Ammerman, Secondary English Education and English Literature Arts major, was recently recognized as a University Innovation Fellow.

March 22, 2019 -- Wichita State University has been named to CollegeNET Inc.’s list of Social Mobility Innovators for 2019. Making the list means WSU has a proven track record of successfully enrolling students from low-income backgrounds and graduating them into promising careers.

Jan. 15, 2019 -- Wichita State University’s College of Applied Studies awarded five high school seniors the Doris and Ralph Klose Endowed Scholarship.

Dec. 6, 2018 -- Trudy Martin is a fifth-year senior at WSU studying electronic media and is an intern at KMUW.

Nov. 20, 2018 -- Student-athlete Tabitha Brown, a member of Wichita State's volleyball team, knows how to strike a balance between academics and athletics.

Oct. 19, 2018 -- WSU students can get free tickets to all home men's and women's basketball games.

Oct. 17, 2018 -- Wichita State University's Shocker Rowing team will soon have a new home in the downtown River Vista development.

Oct. 5, 2018 -- Retired Lt. Colonel Larry Burks is the new director of Military and Veteran Services at Wichita State University.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- Wichita State University has been awarded $813,000 to boost enrollment and retention of students under-represented in science, technology, engineering and math. The funds are part of a larger $3 million, five-year National Science Foundation grant awarded to Kansas State University, which is sharing grant funds with a statewide coalition of universities and community colleges.

Oct. 2, 2018 -- Last summer, Wichita State student Natalie Mark took a big step toward her goals by interning for the United Way of the Plains.

Sept. 19, 2018 -- Senior Grant Cohen believes that big dreams can lead to bigger opportunities. He proved this by landing a dream internship with the Washington Redskins summer.

Sept. 19, 2018 -- Carli McCloud, a sophomore majoring in exercise science, was told she would never be able to cheer again after being diagnosed with a degenerative bone disorder. She's currently a member of the WSU Spirit Squad.
